Mataset is a mobile app that brings crypto trading and bill payments into one simple experience. The goal was to design a product that feels clear and approachable, even for users who are new to crypto.

Overview

The app allows users to buy and sell crypto, send and receive funds, top up their services, and pay bills. My work focused on designing the entire product from scratch—defining the flows, structure, and interface for every major feature.

My Role

I led the UI/UX design from the ground up. This included defining user flows, creating the wireframes, designing the interface, establishing the design system, and ensuring the overall experience felt simple and easy to use. I worked closely with the team to refine each step and maintain consistency across the app.

The Problem

Crypto products often feel complex and overwhelming. The team needed a design that removes confusion, reduces the learning curve, and guides users through essential actions without friction. The main challenge was to create an interface that feels secure, simple, and easy to move through

Solution

I designed a clear layout that brings the most important actions forward and reduces unnecessary steps. Key screens—home, trading, wallet, and bill payments—were structured to help users understand what to do next. I also built a small design system to keep the visuals consistent across all screens and make future updates easier.

Onboarding

A simple onboarding flow that helps new users set up their account, verify their identity, and understand the core actions of the app. Each step is clear, direct, and designed to help users get started without confusion.

Home

A clean overview of the user’s crypto and cash balances, recent activity, and quick access to the main actions—trade, send, receive, and pay bills. The layout keeps the most important features within easy reach.

Send Crypto

A straightforward flow for sending crypto to another wallet. Users enter the amount, paste or scan the wallet address, review the details, and complete the transaction with clear feedback at each step.

Receive Crypto

A simple screen that shows the user’s wallet address and QR code. It makes it easy for someone else to send crypto to the user without extra steps or explanations.

Convert Crypto

A simple screen that lets users swap one crypto asset for another with clear rates and a straightforward confirmation step.

Send Cash

A direct way to transfer fiat money to another user or bank account. The flow is designed to be quick and clear, with simple inputs and an easy confirmation step.

Wallet

A combined wallet view that shows both crypto and cash balances. Users can track their assets, view transaction history, and move between their crypto and fiat wallets without switching screens.

Account

A personal settings area where users can manage their profile, update security preferences, review KYC status, and adjust app preferences.

Results

The design provided a clear product foundation with defined flows, consistent structure, and ready-to-build screens. Although development was paused by the stakeholder, the design system and layouts gave the team a full blueprint for future updates.
